The Doe Fund Hosts Winter Coat Giveaway for Residents in Need
Jack Jaffa and Associates, NYC’s largest real estate consulting firm, donated 200 coats to tenants of The Doe Fund’s award-winning affordable and supportive housing residences.
NEW YORK, NY— On Wednesday, November 18th and Friday, November 20th, The Doe Fund hosted winter coat giveaways for the tenants of two of our newest affordable and supportive housing residences, Webster Green and Crystal Tower. The event was attended by media from Spectrum NY1.
Jack Jaffa & Associates, a longstanding partner of The Doe Fund, donating 100 coats at each residence. JaffaCares, the philanthropic division of Jack Jaffa & Associates, has been involved in spreading kindness for many years. Through its NYWarm initiative, it has donated hundreds of coats to those in need.

Designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning, PC to achieve LEED Gold status in sustainability, Webster Green’s state-of-the-art features include ground floor offices for on-site supportive services, community spaces for hosting classes and events, lounges overlooking the Bronx Botanical Gardens, a laundry room, and a spacious lobby. The residence offers a groundbreaking new vision that challenges preconceived notions of what affordable and supportive housing can be. Webster Green won the Queens and Bronx Building Association’s 2019 Building Award for Excellent Design and Construction and the 2020 Best in American Living Award.
Crystal Tower, our newest affordable and supportive residence, fully leased earlier this month after opening in May amid strict COVID-19 precautions. The recipient of the 2020 New York City Brownfield Partnership Award, Crystal Tower provides 123 desperately-needed high quality units to underserved populations in Flatbush. Each apartment has a private bathroom and an energy-efficient kitchen. The residence features an onsite laundry area, private offices for program staff and resident meetings, a multipurpose community room, monthly available parking spaces, a bike room and landscaped outdoor recreational space.
