Remembering Alan Finder

Alan Finder, journalist for The New York Times, passed away on March 24th, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19.

Alan was one of our earliest supporters, who celebrated and cherished the accomplishments of the men we serve. The Doe Fund mourns his loss, and will miss his intellect, compassion, and generosity.

Alan was among the first journalists to bring attention to the results of our now nationally-acclaimed model. Click the images below to read some of his early articles featuring The Doe Fund and Ready, Willing & Able.

George McDonald, Founder and President of The Doe Fund, first met Alan in the 1980s. “He was just a good and decent man, and that’s not easy to be in this world,” McDonald told MarketWatch.
