Look Inside
Look inside where you dare
to go.
Tormented emotions you've neglected to know.
A cry, a holler, I have no place to run.
As I've grown, my days have stopped being fun.
Scattered seeds who live a divided life,
moments of absence pass through my mind
and cut my heart like a knife.
I run, I run, I run, now where will I turn?
I've wasted so much time, earning nothing.
Is it too late to learn?
I've traveled, searching, my head has been so high.
I don't want my life to be in vain.
I'm tired of living a lie.
I'm tired of running and,
for as much as I can see,
I have to keep looking inside
in hopes of finding me.
